Did You Know?

Did you know that by nibbling on a handful of almonds rids you of a headache??
Well, it's true!
Almonds contain salicylates, the same painkillers found in aspirin, but they don't carry the risk of an upset stomach. Almonds are also high in magnesium, which reduces the muscle tension that can contribute to headaches.
And these are only a few of there incredible benefits.
(After hearing this I tried it the next time I had a headache,
and I promise you it worked!
So count me as proof of this headache solution:))

I am going to try this, because I get headaches at least 3-4 times a week, and I hate taking medicine for them, so I will try it and let you know if it helps.
Also I don't know if this is a fact or just a rumor I heard, but having sex while having a headache also helps ease the headache pain, because of the endorphins released during sex, don't count me on it, but it works I think.

Good to know. I will definitely be trying this.

Also, to "the fellers" I got a 3 lb bag of almonds at costco for $9. It seems like a lot at first but at the grocery store it is about $4 for 1 lb so you do save in the long run.

I totally found you by blog-stalking! I like your site. I suffer from low blood sugar, but I'm allergic to nuts. Ususally when I feel my blood sugar dropping and the head aches come on, a hard boiled egg will do the trick! But to be honest - I'm sick of them, and they aren't very easy to tote around :) Do you have any other ideas that might help with the low blood sugar head aches?

"Ivy",
Thanks for reading! I'm honored:).
Well, there are actually a lot of things that prevent and rid a headache, not all of them include foods.

But usually when you get headaches a lot of the time, it can mean a number of things. the most common is staring at the screen all day, tension in the shoulders, not enough sleep, or if you're a pop drinker.

But some main things to get rid of them, and these are just a few, is magnesium. Magnesium helps relax and allows the blood and oxygen to flow. A hot shower can also rid a headache, because it also relaxes the muscles. And also breathing deep. Just sit for a bit and take some deep breaths, in and out for about 5 minutes and that should help out a lot.

Hopefully that helps ivy!
